Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 “Jake Holton COD” | Written by Sam Randall (WMW)

Tuesday, July 18th — Today, there was a Junior League Ballgame between Sam Randall’s Scented Candles and Taylor West’s North, South, East. After a one-sided game, the final score was 14-1 in favor of Taylor West’s team. At crew the Junior and 3rd boats went out. Also, in the morning, a game of “Bumball” was played, featuring Dr. Weinsier. On the courts, there were numerous Senior and Junior singles matches. For campfire Jake Matthai had a presentation on sharks and his trip to South Africa. He told us about how he spent a couple of months on a sailboat and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. There were lots of pictures and videos of sharks and sunsets. He also went in a shark cage and fed the sharks. Jake talked about shark misconceptions and the interesting parts of a shark like the lateral line.
