Hobbs Field is the scene of daily instruction and both formal and informal competitions. With every boy participating on a team of his peers during the summer, league games take place throughout the week.
When no games are scheduled, a day of “open ball” may mean one or more of several activities take place based on how many campers arrive. Smaller numbers often entail more individualized attention with batting, hitting and fielding instruction, while larger numbers often result in mixed-age games.
Hobbs Field continues to be a place where having fun and trying your best greatly surpasses natural ability and winning.
