Today was the return of the Pasquaney expeditions. The Baldface expeditions returned in the mid-morning, followed by the Umbagog expeditions and the backpacking and trail work expeditions. Everyone was delighted to be reunited with one another. After returning gear and taking showers during an afternoon tub, everyone exchanged stories from the different trips and caught up during a two-hour period of free time. After a delicious meatloaf dinner, we finished our day by listening to an intriguing story by Stephen King called “Trucks,” which was read by Doug Camp on Dana porch for campfire. Everyone quickly fell asleep to the sound of Taps after a challenging and satisfying week in the wilderness.
