Vincent J. Broderick, Director, 1997 to present
Counsellor, 1971-1993 1995-1996
Director, 1997 to present
Born in New York City, “Mr. Vinnie” first attended Pasquaney in the summer of 1967, and during his next two summers as a camper served as a C.O.I. and Camp President. In 1971 he returned to the hillside for his first year on the council under Mr. Charlie, and in the past nearly five decades has served Camp every year with the exception of two summers.
Since graduating with a degree in English from Wesleyan University in 1975, Vinnie has pursued his love of teaching at St. Christopher’s in Virginia, Noble and Greenough School in Massachusetts, and, most recently, the Winter Term in Switzerland. In 1984, he received his Masters in Education from Harvard. His other passion, crew, began during his camper years and continued during his time in college. He has coached at both the high school and college level.
Throughout his over forty-year tenure on the Pasquaney council, Vinnie has fulfilled a myriad of roles including activity head, hikes leader, Long and Short Walk leader, C.O.I. advisor, scheduler, and Council Representative to the Board of Trustees.
In 1997, Vinnie became the fifth Director of Pasquaney. Under his inspirational leadership, Camp has continued to prosper and thrive, with record numbers of older boys returning for their sixteen-year-old summers.
