Saturday, August 13th — We woke up to a cold morning after a lot of rain the night before. After breakfast we started the long duty period to get camp ready for Water Sports. After finishing your duty, you had to report to the office and then were assigned to another duty. Then we had tub, and immediately following was inspection. Dana won and Wilson got second. We had lunch and then a short rest before heading down to the waterfront for our Water Sports program. There were activities like war canoe, sailing, crew, and swimming. Then we showed all of the guests around camp before Tree Talks and the Glade Play. Because of the rain there was no Exhibition Tennis. After the Glade Play, we had a buffet dinner and then the Theater Play. While the Theater Play was going on, Henry Anderson, Stewart Denious, and Jafar Sharipov got the bonfire ready. When the guests came up, because there was lightening, guests and campers all went into Baird Hall for singing. We sang several songs and then gave a railroad for the guests and then for Pasquaney. Then we helped them leave and came back up to Baird Hall to watch the slideshow before the three character cups were awarded. Mack Wolschina won Mr. Teddy’s Cup, Jack Anderson won the Mauran Cup, and Mathew Scullin won Most Faithful Boy. After that the 16-year-olds got their lanterns, and we went back to the dorms for Circles before bed.
