Sunday, July 29th—It was a pleasant day in the high 60s with clear skies. After going to Tub and Inspection, we listened to an inspiring sermon by Rich Desalvo. The sermon was about how a community needs to work together by respecting yourself and others. The Chapel Talk really inspired the campers and counsellors. It also ended with applause which is unusual for a chapel talk. After a delicious thanksgiving meal [Dave Ryder and his daughter Cindy were introduced by Mr. Vinnie. Because Dave has done so many things for camp, Mr. Vinnie asked the campers and counsellors to name some of the many things that he has accomplished for Pasquaney. It was a long list.] After Camper and Council meetings, there was a council vs. council baseball game. The two teams were Matt Woolverton’s Wolf Pack and Willy D’s Buckled Knees and Strike Threes. Will Davies and Jafar Sharipov both hit home runs; however, Matt’s team won the game 9-6. The camp community enjoyed watching the game while eating a cookout dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs. The game and dinner were followed by Singing and Circles.
