Being the first full day of camp, there was a rotation for the new boys consisting of tennis, baseball, and the waterfront. In baseball and tennis, the new boys showcased their skills in games like king of the court and bench ball. At the waterfront, most new boys swam their raft despite the frigid lake temperature. For the older boys, the woodshop was open for project planning, there were play auditions in the theater, and open sculling at the boathouse. Following the activity period, there was a waterfront safety presentation by Rich DeSalvo which reviewed skills on life saving and swimming safety. Fresh peaches and apples to snack on at Mem Hall porch soon followed. Later on in the day, the new boy rotation was comprised of woodshop, theatre, and nature. Specifically, the shop gave a safety exposition, in the theatre there were play auditions, and in nature, there was a nature walk. After the activity period, we had our first chapel of the year, where Mr. Vinnie spoke about the opportunities ahead of us and not being afraid to try something new. The day concluded with a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and dorm circles.
