Wednesday marked camp’s first day in the Whites. We separated into our six respective walks and left for the trails. My group hiked Morgan and Percival. On the ascent, we sang songs like “Old Town Road” and “Bohemian Rhapsody,” modifying lyrics to ones about our counsellor, Charlie Pink. As we sang, we climbed up several ladders and rocks on our way to the peak. Clear skies graced the summit as we ate our sandwiches and Hershey bars. After we hiked down the mountain, we headed back and enjoyed some well-earned free time, playing wall ball and tetherball. At dinner, the four senior baseball captains were announced: Sam Randall, Taylor West, Charlie Ramquist, and Hays Talley. Following the meal, Mr. Vinnie read “Ole’s Initiation.” All in all, it was a great day.
